DARK LIGHT METALLIC

• Where darkness reigns,

• Two visionary artists brought to life,

• A world of digital forms, never seen before.

• Using video mapping and augmented reality,

• They create entities out of pure fantasy,

• Fluffy, digital and indistinct, yet full of life,

• Indeterminate species, classifiable and therefore recognizable in the context of the environment where they exist.

• But do they exist?

• For in this subterranean world,

• where light is but a distant memory,

• These entities are the life force that sustains them,

• the essence of creativity.

• They dance and play in their own realm,

• In a liminal space where the micro and the macro, the real and the virtual collide,

• In the light of the artificial light that gave birth to them. "

The exhibition of Lu Jindrák Skřivánková and Alex Jindrák in collaboration with Ondřej Rakušan (CGI Artist) presents, unspecified species that come to life through video technology and augmented reality. These entities exist in an artificial environment where light and darkness play a major role in their existence. The contrast invites the audience to reflect on the transformative power of technology and to question our perception of what is real and what is not. Gate Gallery's unique underground space in the Můstek metro atrium under Wenceslas Square provided the perfect backdrop for this immersive experiment.
